A customer walked up to my desk at the bank and tried to deposit another countries currency.  It was African currency of some sort and he wanted to deposit it into an American bank!

    What's the problem? I work in a UK bank, you can deposit what ever currency you like.

    You take the money, work out the exchange rate then deposit it in his account.

    If you visit another country, you can use your ATM card in their machines and draw out the local currency ffs.

    You Americans do realise there is more than just the almighty dollar?
